About the role

This role isnt just about management; it's about creating a supportive environment where children and educators can flourish. You'll have the autonomy to shape the centre's culture while receiving strong head-office support in recruitment, finance and compliance, freeing you to focus on families and quality teaching.

What a typical day would be like

This is a leadership role with a hands-on focus. You will:

• Lead and mentor educators:  Set short- and long-term goals for teaching staff, provide feedback, and inspire a culture of reflective practice. 
• Ensure quality and compliance: Oversee pedagogy, maintain accurate records, and ensure adherence to the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS) and regulatory requirements.
• Manage operations and budgets:  Develop future enrolment pipelines, monitor financial performance, and maintain a revenue-generating business. 
• Engage with families and the community:  Build positive relationships, communicate openly with parents about their childs progress, and represent the centre professionally. 
• Drive continuous improvement:  Lead quality improvement plans (QIP), incorporate the latest best practices in early childhood education, and champion inclusive practices. 

About you

You are an experienced leader with:

• A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in early childhood (ACECQA equivalent). 
•  Experience as a Centre Director/Manager (ideally 2+ years) and proven ability to manage change and drive high-quality programs. 
• Strong financial acumen, organisational skills and knowledge of state regulations. 
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to inspire educators, connect with families and work collaboratively with specialists. 
• A commitment to inclusive practices, diversity, and ongoing professional growth.
