Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Foot Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to site needs. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and the public at a government transportation facility by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, roadways, access points, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing visitors and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, traffic-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity records while maintaining professional communication with site personnel and responding public agencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
