We are seeking an Assistant Scientist (Pilot Plant Co-ordinator) to join our R&D team on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, based in Tingalpa. Reporting to the Senior Scientist, you’ll provide technical support to the ANZ R&D team, contributing to our innovation agenda while overseeing pilot plant inventory, safety and quality systems to ensure a safe, efficient and compliant environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare innovation samples for internal, external and customer sensory evaluations.
- Coordinate sample shipments for customer meetings and reviews.
- Support the R&D team with pilot plant and factory trials.
- Complete innovation, productivity and trial documentation.
- Conduct routine laboratory analysis of samples.
- Manage pilot plant stock, inventory and replenishment.
- Conduct Seasoning Capability Studies and associated testing.
- Maintain pilot plant compliance with GMP, Food Safety and audit standards.
- Follow all workplace safety standards and procedures.
Qualifications
- Degree in Food Technology or a related discipline preferred.
- Relevant food industry experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organisation and project management skills.
- Technical mindset with the ability to build product and process knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
