Job Description:
We're looking for a commercially driven Planner to lead forecasting, inventory planning and trading performance across a dynamic retail portfolio.
Partnering closely with Buyers and key stakeholders, you'll use data-driven insights to optimise stock investment, maximise sales opportunities and ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time.
Planning & Forecasting
Develop and manage sales, inventory and Open to Buy (OTB) plans to support business growth and profitability.
Forecast and Trend sales performance and identify opportunities, risks and emerging trends.
Partner with Buying team to align inventory investment with trading objectives and customer demand.
Inventory & Stock Management
Take ownership of inventory performance across your categories, ensuring the right stock is in the right stores at the right time.
Drive allocation strategies to optimise stock levels and maximise sales.
Identify opportunities relating to overstock, understock and markdown activity.
Commercial Analysis
Analyse sales and inventory performance to deliver actionable, data-driven recommendations.
Monitor key metrics including sales, stock turn, gross profit and ROI.
Support trading decisions through meaningful partnering and commercial insights.
Purchase Orders & Supply Chain
Ensure purchase orders and OTB commitments are accurately managed across product, location and timing hierarchies.
Monitor On Order progress and work closely with Buying on opportunities and risks
Maintain visibility and control of inventory flow across the business.
What You'll Bring:
Experience in Merchandise Planning, Retail Planning or a similar commercial planning role.
Experience in team development and leadership.
Strong forecasting, inventory management and analytical capabilities.
A commercially minded approach with the ability to influence decisions through data and insights.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience within apparel, fashion or specialty retail is highly regarded.
