Description
Position Summary
This position manages full-cycle recruiting, and supports day-to-day HR operations. The specialist sources and screens candidates, coordinates hiring and onboarding, maintains confidential employee records, and organizes employee meetings and recognition activities.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting
- Communicate with hiring managers to confirm position requirements and hiring timelines.
- Write and post job advertisements and source qualified active and passive candidates.
- Review resumes, conduct initial screenings, and recommend qualified candidates for interviews.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews, references, background checks, offers, and pre-employment steps.
- Maintain accurate applicant tracking records and provide clear hiring updates.
- Prepare new-hire paperwork and coordinate orientation and onboarding with managers, payroll, and IT.
- Maintain confidential personnel files and enter or update information in HR systems.
- Process routine employee changes and prepare HR forms, letters, reports, and communications.
- Process offboarding paperwork and processes to include exit interviews when required.
- Track required training, certifications, and other employee documentation.
- Manage the Workers Comp and OSHA Log tracking.
- Answer basic employee questions and refer sensitive or complex matters to HR leadership.
- Coordinate quarterly employee meetings, including scheduling, communications, materials, food, and setup.
- Organize birthdays, work anniversaries, employee recognition, and other company activities within the approved budget.
- Schedule employee safety meetings and coordinate with Erwin Electric’s safety vendor for training content.
- Order PPE, company shirts and uniforms.
- Three or more years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including sourcing and interviewing.
- Experience with onboarding, employee records, or general HR coordination.
- Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems, HR systems, job boards, LinkedIn, and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace. JazzHR experience is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of employment practices, hiring requirements, and record confidentiality.
- Strong organization, communication, follow-through, and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and sound judgment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- HR or recruiting certification, such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or AIRS.
- Recruiting experience in electrical, home improvement, construction.
- JazzHR experience.
