Responsibilities
The Claims Coordinator / Claims Specialist will support the claims process by entering and updating claim information, maintaining accurate records, gathering documentation, and communicating with owner operators and internal teams to help resolve claims in a timely and professional manner.
- Enter new claims and update existing claim records accurately in company systems.
- Communicate with owner operators to gather details, request documentation, answer questions, and provide updates.
- Maintain organized claim notes, files, follow-up dates, and supporting documentation.
- Review information for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Follow up on missing documents, pending responses, and unresolved items.
- Work with internal departments and escalate urgent or complex claim issues as needed.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Any combination of education, training, and experience providing the following knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Knowledge
Previous claims, transportation, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.
Abilities
· Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills.
· Clear and professional communication skills.
· Organized and able to manage multiple follow-ups and deadlines.
· Comfortable learning and using company systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience, Education, and Training
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in a Business or related field is preferred; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
This position requires being able to sit and remain focused and motivated for long periods of time. Being able to multitask between the computer, phone, and different projects is required.
Working Environment
Primarily indoors with heating and cooling regulated in a general office environment. Call volume can be heavy at times. On-site attendance is required.
