Enterprise Integration & Intelligent Automation Development Lead

The purpose of this role is to provide technical guidance and suggest improvements in development processes. Develop required software features, achieving timely delivery in compliance with the performance and quality standards of the company.

Role Purpose

The Enterprise Integration and Intelligent Automation (EI / IA) Development Lead will be responsible for designing, developing, and leading scalable integration solutions and AI-powered automation workflows, across enterprise systems, marketing platforms, consumer data platforms, digital ecosystems, third-party partners, and AI model providers. This role combines deep technical expertise in Enterprise Integration Workflows and scaled API-driven systems Integration, with leadership in modern integration patterns, low-code workflow app dev platforms, iPaaS systems (integration platform-as-a-service solutions), data transformation and data integration workflows, and AI-powered intelligent automation.

Key Responsibilities

Integration Architecture, Technical Design, & Integration Workflow Development

            •           Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure enterprise integration solutions and pipelines using multiple integration platforms and services

            •           Lead tech design and development for integration workflows, orchestrating data and capabilities across multiple systems, using APIs, pre-built connectors, and custom connectors

            •           Develop and manage API-led and event-driven integrations and automations across systems, applications, and platforms.

            •           Develop and optimize data transformation pipelines and data integration workflows.

            •           Lead and Build end-to-end system integrations, data workflows, and platform integration workflows independently.

            •           Strong experience in designing and building workflows for very high volumes and scaled usage, also applying principles and best practices of multi-tenancy and client data separation

Technical Leadership

            •           Lead and mentor a team of integration developers, workflow developers, and API developers, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.

            •           Translate business requirements into clear technical specifications and actionable development tasks.

            •           Drive solution design discussions and act as a technical SME for integration and automation initiatives.

            •           Drive secure workflow design and secure enterprise integration across systems, implementing best practices for authentication, token validation, authorization, and role-based access

Modern Integration & Intelligent Automation

            •           Solid foundation in integration workflows and workflow development, using Low-Code Workflow Builder tools including n8n (Node-mation), Azure Logic Apps, and others.

            •           Strong experience in n8n (Node-mation) workflows, including usage of pre-built connectors and custom connector development, and building AI-driven workflows within N8N

            •           Lead development across system and data integrations using low-code/no-code workflows, enhanced with custom connectors for deep bespoke integration into proprietary enterprise platforms and services

            •           Enable intelligent automation solutions by integrating AI and Gen-AI capabilities within integration workflows, including Azure OpenAI LLM models, Vision Models and Multi Modal models.

            •           Process and Automate Consumer and Audience Data, using AI services and AI models, unlocking the value of core data assets for use within AI-driven workflows to drive use cases such as Audience Intelligence, Audience Personalization, etc.

Micro Services, GraphQL + Federated Graph, and API Engineering

            •           Develop scalable micro services to enable Enterprise Integration using server-side Node.js frameworks such as NEST.js and Typescript code.

            •           Integrate proprietary REST APIs, enterprise services, and third-party platforms all together, within a single integration / orchestration layer

            •           Leverage GraphQL within a Federated Graph pattern, deploy custom Sub-Graphs within the Fed Graph, and route queries/mutations through the Router across the various Sub-Graphs

            •           Design and develop REST/GraphQL APIs and schemas.

            •           Manage API lifecycle and governance, including performance, scalability, and versioning.

            •           Work with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB Atlas, and Azure Cosmos DB for high-performance data handling.

            •           Build integrations leveraging message queues, topics, and messaging patterns (e.g., Kafka, and/or Azure Service Bus).

Collaboration & Delivery

            •           Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering Leads, QA/QE, DevOps, and business teams to ensure seamless delivery.

            •           Participate in Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

            •           Ensure high-quality delivery through code reviews, testing, and documentation standards.

Governance, Quality & Risk Management

            •           Enforce best practices for integration design, logging, monitoring, and resiliency (retry/recovery mechanisms).

            •           Identify delivery risks proactively and define mitigation strategies.

            •           Ensure compliance with enterprise security and data governance standards.

Primary Skills & Expertise (ALL are MUST-HAVE)

            •           Intelligent Workflow Automation (Critical) – n8n (Node-mation) / Node-based automation tools, Azure Logic Apps, Data Integration and Systems Integration.

            •           API orchestration & Enterprise Integration – Orchestration across REST APIs, GraphQL and Federated Graph, Bespoke API design & development

            •           Microservices Development – Nest.JS, TypeScript, Node.js , Server-side JavaScript Dev

            •           Azure Cloud Services Expertise – Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Blob Storage, Service Bus

            •           Messaging Frameworks – Kafka, Message Queues, messaging patterns (queues, topics), etc.

            •           AI Integration – Azure OpenAI, AI models, and intelligent automation frameworks

            •           Data Pipelines – Data workflows, transformations, and processing

            •           Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB Atlas)

Secondary / Good-to-Have Skills

            •           Experience with Agentic AI Workflows and Agent integration patterns

            •           Experience with Agent Dev Frameworks for intelligent automation

            •           Experience with Snaplogic or any other iPaaS platforms

            •           Experience with Data Visualization toolsets (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)

            •           Exposure to Azure Document Intelligence / Intelligent Document Processing / Document Automation workflows powered by AI

            •           Experience with Microsoft Power Platform including Power Automate, Power Apps, etc.

            •           API Testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI

Experience & Qualifications

            •           Strong hands-on experience in enterprise integration and cloud-based integration workflow development

            •           Proven experience leading integration or platform engineering teams

            •           Deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns, API-led architecture, and event-driven systems

            •           Ability to work independently, drive initiatives, and solve complex problems

            •           Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
