Job Summary:
We are seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to join our team at a premier corporate fitness and well-being destination serving colleagues and guests. This position will play a key leadership role in supporting the daily operations of both the corporate Fitness Center and Well-Being Lounge.The Assistant Operations Manager will work closely with the General Manager and Operations Manager to ensure operational excellence across the facility, with a particular focus on event coordination, concierge operations, scheduling, team development, service delivery, and cross-functional support. Responsibilities:
Support the General Manager and Operations Manager in the daily operation and organization of the Fitness Center and Well-Being Lounge.
Serve as a key operational leader and point of contact for day-to-day facility needs, ensuring systems, processes, and services run smoothly and efficiently.
Field, organize, coordinate, and execute group event requests coordinating logistics and post-event follow-up.
Serve as the primary operational point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding events, programs, and facility requests.
Coordinate and oversee scheduling of concierge-supported services.
Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of operational processes and procedures.
Oversee and assist with appointment management, cancellations, changes, and related communications to ensure a seamless experience for colleagues and guests.
Provide leadership, coaching, training, and ongoing development support for the Concierge team, including assisting with onboarding, team education, service standards, and operational procedures.
Support concierge scheduling and coverage to ensure appropriate staffing levels and consistent service throughout operating hours.
Serve as Manager on Duty on Saturdays, providing leadership and operational oversight of the facility and team.
Assist with the development and execution of team schedules, payroll-related processes, administrative tasks, and other operational needs.
Provide operational support to the Facilities team, including inventory management, supply tracking, scheduling, and coordination of facility-related needs.
Welcome and engage colleagues, executives, and guests while consistently upholding the service standards.
Respond to colleague and guest inquiries, resolve operational issues, and escalate concerns appropriately to maintain an exceptional experience.
Assist with tours, service communications, and other front-of-house responsibilities as needed.
Assist with the hiring, onboarding, training, and development of team members as needed.
Work with the Operations Manager and General Manager to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery, and the overall colleague experience.
Collaborate with Performance, Facilities, Concierge, and other operational teams to ensure seamless execution of programs and services.
Support the analysis and tracking of operational metrics, staffing needs, inventory, scheduling, and other business information.
Contribute to the creation and implementation of new offerings, services, processes, and operational initiatives.
Perform other duties as assigned to support operational success.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 3 years of operations, hospitality, fitness, recreation, or program coordination experience.
Minimum 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification required.
Proven ability to provide high-quality customer service in a professional, high-touch environment.
Strong organizational, documentation, communication, and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines with minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and motivate others.
Energetic, friendly, personable, and service-oriented with a dynamic personality that inspires others.
Professional demeanor with a polished appearance and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Confidence to critically assess, manage, and streamline systems and operational processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or equivalent business applications.
Experience coordinating events, programs, services, or complex scheduling operations.
Ability to step into guest-facing and operational coverage responsibilities when needed.
Proven ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, clients, executives, vendors, and external partners.

Per pay transparency requirements, the compensation for this position ranges from $60,000 - $65,000/year. Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications and work experience as well as other business needs.
