Job Description

AI FinOps Analyst

Make AI more transparent, cost-conscious and sustainable by turning cost, usage and emissions data into clear insights for Rabobank.

You and your job

Help Rabobank understand and optimise the cost, usage, value and sustainability of AI. As an AI FinOps Analyst, you analyse AI and cloud workloads, build practical reporting frameworks and advise stakeholders on smarter, more sustainable choices. You work in the SAIF, Sustainability AI FinOps, squad within T4D&A.

Practical examples

• You create dashboards and KPIs that show the cost, usage, value and sustainability impact of GenAI and agentic AI use cases.

• You analyse AI and cloud workloads together with engineering teams and identify where usage, cost or emissions can be improved.

• You develop practical guidance that helps teams use AI in a more transparent, cost-conscious and sustainable way.

Top 3 responsibilities

• Develop governance and reporting approaches for GenAI and agentic AI use cases.

• Analyse AI and cloud cost, usage and emissions data to identify optimisation opportunities.

• Advise business, finance, architecture and technology stakeholders on cost efficiency, value and sustainability.

In this role, you do not need to be a software engineer. You do need enough technical understanding of AI architectures, cloud platforms and AI service consumption models to ask the right questions, see opportunities and work well with engineering teams.

You and your talent

• Experience with AI, GenAI and cloud technologies, preferably within Rabobank.

• Understanding of cloud economics, FinOps and cost observability.

• Experience translating data into insights through reporting, forecasting, business cases and KPI development.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure; experience with KQL, Azure Log Analytics, Azure Bicep or FinOps certification is a plus.

• You focus on finding solutions and take clear ownership of your work.

• You stimulate collaboration and build relationships across business, finance and technology.
