POSITION DESCRIPTION: DrinkPAK is looking for a motivated Staff Accountant to support and lead the aggressive growth targets of the Company. This position will work very closely with the CA Controller to build the finance and accounting infrastructure and processes required to be successful within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is energized by learning and is looking to quickly grow their career and experience. This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s routine GL operations with involvement in annual audits, invoicing, accounts receivable, month-end close, and ongoing deliverables as it relates to customer relationships.
LOCATION: The position is based at DrinkPAK's Santa Clarita, CA location.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the Company's month-end financial close (i.e. administer close schedule, reconcile general ledger accounts, complete bank reconciliations, post journal entries, etc.)
Interact with other departments to confirm proper execution of routine daily transactions (i.e. receipt of goods, AR invoicing, and approval controls, inventory management and external reporting, expense reporting, etc.)
Heavy involvement with periodic (daily & monthly) invoicing to include direct interaction with Company customers when necessary
Perform inventory reconciliations for Company-owned materials
Support cycle counts and physical inventory audits
Monitor variances between standard and actual costs, investigating discrepancies
Develop and catalog procedures and accounting policies to maintain and enhance the company's internal control framework
Ensure adherence to GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
Assist with financial audits – pull audit requests and upload to internal drive and tax filings
Identify process improvements in financial reporting and operations support
Perform ad-hoc assignments and special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
Minimum of 2-4+ years of accounting experience, CPG or manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP and internal controls over financial reporting
Prior experience with SAP B1 or other similar ERP accounting software preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to effectively and confidently communicate with external and internal stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
A self-starter who enjoys working within a close-knit team environment
Proven ability to work to strict deadlines and respond to changing priorities
Possesses superior organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, tact, initiative, drive, and takes ownership of the role.
