Position Summary
The Manager, Supply Chain provides technical leadership to the procurement and sourcing teams. This role serves as the direct leader for strategic sourcing activities while providing technical guidance and coaching to value stream buyers. The Manager, Supply Chain is responsible for leading team deployment on strategic initiatives, as well as overseeing supplier selection, performance, and development.
Job Duties
- Develops and maintains supply chain KPI’s that support business objectives.
- Develops and maintains supply chain standards and assures adherence to Operating processes.
- Supports value stream buyers and acts as the escalation point for supply chain issues impacting delivery schedules.
- Provides direct leadership to the strategic sourcing team and the business support buying team (MRO, international, etc).
- Develops and executes supply chain strategic initiatives based on defined business strategies.
- Consistently drives material cost improvements through the supply chain team.
- Supports daily business needs as it relates to supplier performance.
- Develops and implements tailored development plans for supply chain team members to support their professional growth, strengthen their capabilities, and enhance their overall performance.
- Coaches the supply chain team to deploy root cause analysis tools to solve for systemic problems that impact material flow.
- Partners with cross-functional leaders to ensure monthly delivery and financial performance objectives are met.
- Ensures that effective inventory management practices are established, maintained, and consistently executed.
- Drives material planning activities to ensure that inventory turns are maintained.

Educational Requirements
A bachelor’s degree is required. Degree in technical, economic, financial, or business discipline preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum five years of experience in direct material purchasing, including at least two years of experience in material sourcing or commodity management, preferably with manufactured components, is required.
- Minimum two years of prior leadership experience in a supply chain or related environment is required.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
- Experience working with ERP and supplier portal systems is highly preferred.

- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Applied knowledge of the Science and Technology of Manufacturing Processes.
- Ability to understand product drawings.
- Analytical skills with the ability to create meaningful metrics that drive results at a high level.
Tools
Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) required. RFQ database experience is preferred.
Licenses/Certifications
APICS or CPSM certifications preferred.
Working Conditions
Typical manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noises and dangerous chemicals and machinery. Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds unassisted. All FN America employees have a responsibility to participate in the development of a safe and healthy workplace.
