JOB SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and managing all Supply Chain functions to ensure the uninterrupted flow of materials, information, and products from suppliers to customers. The role oversees Planning, Inventory Management, Warehousing, Logistics, Import/Export Compliance, and Supply Chain Excellence activities to achieve business objectives related to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, cost, and customer satisfaction.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
- Lead all Supply Chain functions, including Planning, Warehouse, Logistics, and Inventory Management.
- Establish and monitor supply chain KPIs to ensure achievement of operational and financial targets.
- Align supply chain capabilities with current and future customer requirements.
- Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
- Support regional and global supply chain initiatives.
Demand & Production Planning
- Ensure effective demand planning and supply planning processes are in place.
- Lead Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities to balance demand, capacity, inventory, and customer requirements.
- Ensure optimal production scheduling and material availability.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Customer Service, Production, and Operations teams.
- Identify capacity constraints and proactively develop mitigation plans.
- Improve forecast accuracy and planning effectiveness.
Inventory & Working Capital Optimization
- Ensure optimal inventory levels while maintaining customer service objectives.
- Drive inventory reduction initiatives without compromising supply continuity.
- Monitor raw materials, WIP, finished goods, slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory.
- Improve inventory accuracy and warehouse management performance.
- Support financial objectives through effective working capital management.
- Develop strategies to increase inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs.
Logistics & Customer Delivery Performance
- Ensure products are delivered to customers safely, accurately, and on time.
- Manage domestic and international logistics operations.
- Oversee transportation providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners.
- Develop logistics strategies that support cost optimization and service excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement of OTIF performance.
- Ensure compliance with export and import regulations.
Warehouse & Inventory Control
- Ensure effective warehouse operations and inventory control systems.
- Improve storage utilization, inventory integrity, and material traceability.
- Lead cycle counts and annual inventory activities.
- Ensure proper receiving, storage, handling, and dispatch of materials.
- Support implementation of lean warehouse practices and digital inventory solutions.
- Drive continuous improvements in warehouse productivity and accuracy.
SAP Systems & Digitalization
- Ensure effective utilization of SAP and other business systems across Supply Chain functions.
- Maintain integrity of planning, inventory, and logistics master data.
- Drive digitalization and automation initiatives.
- Implement data-driven decision-making processes and dashboard reporting.
- Support SAP upgrades, system enhancements, and process standardization initiatives.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Lead Lean, RESET, Kaizen, A3, and Supply Chain Excellence initiatives.
- Utilize data analytics to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Improve customer service levels while reducing operational costs.
- Drive projects focused on lead time reduction, process simplification, and productivity improvements.
- Benchmark performance against industry best practices and corporate standards.
Quality, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies, ethical sourcing requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Support compliance with ISO 9001 and other ISO related standards in the factory, PEZA requirements, and corporate governance standards.
- Participate in internal, customer, and third-party audits.
- Ensure all supply chain records and documentation remain accurate and audit ready.
- Support closure of audit findings and corrective actions.
People Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach, and develop Supply Chain personnel.
- Build organizational capability and succession plans for key positions.
- Establish competency development and cross-functional training programs.
- Conduct performance reviews and development discussions.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Promote employee engagement and retention.
QUALIFICATION:
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5-10 years of Supply Chain experience in manufacturing environments.
- Minimum 5 years in a managerial leadership role.
- Experience managing in Planning, Warehouse, Logistics, and Inventory functions.
- Experience within cable manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, automotive, electronics, or related industries preferred.
- Proven experience in SAP-based supply chain operations.
