About the role:
The Lead Data Analyst will serve as a strategic analytics partner for the Marketing Analytics team, applying data, reporting, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled solutions to solve complex business problems. This role will work independently and cross-functionally with business partners to translate ambiguous needs into scalable data solutions, deliver clear insights, and influence marketing strategy. The role requires strong analytical rigor, business acumen, data storytelling, hands-on experience with large-scale datasets, and the ability to design analytical solutions that support faster, smarter, and measurable decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to understand priorities, validate business requirements, and translate questions into analytical solutions.
• Analyze marketing performance, guest behavior, loyalty engagement, campaign effectiveness, personalization, audience strategy, and business impact.
• Query, manipulate, and analyze large-scale datasets using tools such as GCP BigQuery, Spark, SQL-based warehouses, and data pipelines.
• Apply analytical and statistical techniques to identify trends, measure business drivers, support test design, and inform strategic decisions.
• Design, develop, and deliver reporting, dashboards, decision-support models, and scalable analytical solutions.
• Build clear, executive-ready narratives that simplify complex analysis and enable stakeholders to act with confidence.
• Consult on and develop AI-enabled analytical solutions across Generative AI, AI agents,and agentic AI use cases.
• Evaluate AI-driven analytical workflows by defining quality metrics, assessing
reliability, and measuring business impact.
• Create and maintain documentation for analytical methodologies, assumptions, AI solution design, and project execution.
• Contribute to reusable knowledge assets, best practices, and iterative model development.
• Ensure compliance with corporate data protection standards and responsible AI practices, including privacy, bias mitigation, explainability, and governance.
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging methodologies, marketing measurement practices, and AI-enabled analytics capabilities.
About You:
• 8+ years of relevant work experience with a graduate BA/BS/B.Tech /B.E. or Master’s degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, SQL optimization, and DW/BI concepts.
• Hands-on experience with structured databases such as Teradata, Oracle, and Hive, as well as unstructured data environments including HDFS.
• Proven experience working with large-scale datasets and building scalable analytical solutions.
• Proficiency in BI visualization tools such as Power BI, Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Hands-on experience with R, Python, Hive, or other open-source languages and database technologies.
• Strong understanding of analytical techniques such as regression, time-series modeling, classification, segmentation, forecasting, and driver analysis.
• Experience with Git source code management and agile delivery practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a systematic, logical, and detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, data storytelling, service orientation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to think critically, mentor peers, share knowledge, and continuously improve analytical practices.
• Experience in Retail, Marketing, Loyalty, Customer, or Merchandising Analytics is strongly preferred.
• Ability to identify high-impact Generative AI opportunities and translate business problems into scalable AI-enabled solutions.
• Experience driving adoption of AI-agent enabled or agentic AI capabilities to improve automation, analytics productivity, and enterprise decision-making.
• Understanding of responsible and scalable AI adoption practices, including governance,risk considerations, data privacy, and integration with analytics ecosystems..
