Seasonal - Tennis is Elementary Instructors - PRPL Recreation

Pay Rate: $15.00/Hour    
                         
Work Schedule

• Sessions are Monday through Thursday at 2 locations 
• 5:30pm - 7:30pm on weekdays. 
• Fall Session runs October 20th – November 12th - 4 weeks
• Winter Session - January and February 
   

Job Summary
Applicants must possess excellent communication skills, energetic personalities and the ability to work closely and patiently with children.  Applicants are required to be leaders and must be excellent role models for children.   Instructors will concentrate on teaching basic skills and fundamentals of the game of tennis including the general rules of play.  Instructors will follow USTA’s Net Generation guidelines and practice plans. Instructors will be required to complete USTA’s Net Generation coaching certification and achieve “Green Light” coaching status.  

• Perform pre- and post-game facility inspections to ensure safety and readiness.
• Communicate effectively with participants, other staff and caregivers.
• Coach participants through the basics of tennis.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and enforce facility rules.
• Teach teamwork and sportsmanship skills.

• Must be at least 16 years old and have reliable transportation.
• Be a certified tennis instructor with strong understandings of basic tennis. 
• Professional, confident, and capable of handling any issues calmly and professionally.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, sports-focused environment.
