The State Home Care Program Director is responsible for the overall leadership and operational aspects of Greater Springfield Senior Services State Home Care Program (SHC). This position ensures the administration of quality-driven operational practices of the department in conjunction with the supervision of assigned State Home Care Team Supervisors, State Home Care Clinical Supervisor, and the State Home Care Program Integrity Coordinator to meet the compliance expectations of the agency and the Executive Office of Aging and Independence (AGE) as outlined by the agency's contractual agreements and the Code of Massachusetts Regulations 651.

  • Direction and supervision of all aspects of the SHC Program.
  • Participate in the hiring and training of Case Managers and other agency staff as requested.
  • Instruct and develop Cultural Competence in SHC staff.
  • Development, implementation, and oversight of Standards of Casework Practice for SHC staff.
  • Development, implementation and oversight of Quality Assurance Measures/Standards for the SHC staff/program.
  • Participate in the development of procedures to ensure program consistency and ensure technical compliance with Program Instructions and agency established procedures.
  • Fulfill all reporting and regulatory requirements of the Department of Medical Assistance and the Executive Office of Elder Affairs.
  • Maintain and enforce strict confidentiality standards and ensure the security of client information.
  • Provide the Fiscal Department with all necessary reports and data to complete required billing, budget preparation, and financial reports in a timely fashion.
  • Treat all individuals encountered through employment with respect and an absence of bias regardless of their sex, race, ethnic background, economic status, health or other status.
  • Represent the agency, maintaining and developing relationships, within the community and the service system.
  • Design, implement, and manage new projects as assigned.

**Salary may be negotiable depending on level of experience and degree.**

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Nursing or a related field.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Three years minimum of supervisory experience required.
  • Two years minimum of experience in the provision of services for Older and Disabled Adults.
  • Experience with developing and maintaining quality assurance measures preferred.
  • Experience with developing and writing department policies and procedures.
