About the Position:

This is a key position to ensure we keep our storefront safe and approachable and continuously improve our customer experience. You will be interacting with passersby and customers, collecting their ID, relaying relevant company policies, and assisting with retail operations. The type of people who do well in this role are customer service oriented, have a positive and professional attitude, have experience working security, and have a passion for cannabis products.

In this role, your primary responsibility is the store security, but will also welcome customers and keep the storefront clean and orderly. This includes proactively monitoring the property, checking ID to authorize access, discouraging loitering, and addressing disruptive or inappropriate behavior. You will also be responsible for opening and closing the store in accordance with company procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be over the age of 21
• Must clear a background check
• Must have CA Guard Card (or obtain within 30 days of hire)
• Must be able to lift 25-50lbs
• Commit to a minimum of 3 shifts per week

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Cannabis industry experience
• Customer service experience
• Security experience
• Previous key holder experience
• Comfortable working with the general public and deescalating conflicts
• Able to multitask, organize, problem solve and prioritize issues
• Able to work weekly morning and night shifts, including weekends

What you’ll do (Key Responsibilities):

• Start and end your days at our licensed, secure location
• Keep the storefront clean and secure
• Prevent loitering and addressing disruptive or inappropriate behavior
• Welcome and check customer IDs
• Assisting customers with purchases when coverage is needed
• Support retail operations
• Abide by all cannabis regulations & compliance procedures
• Following company standard operating procedures
• Keeping communal areas clean and organized
• Friendly, effective communication with peers, supervisors, managers, brand representatives, etc.
• All other tasks as assigned by your direct manager or production manager
