Mechanical & Chemical Engineering Student - Fall
Overview

As an Engineering Student – Mechanical/Chemical/Process, you will join the Nuclear Engineering team and contribute to innovative projects that support the development and delivery of world-class nuclear technologies. This co-op opportunity provides hands-on experience, exposure to multidisciplinary engineering environments, and the chance to apply engineering principles in real-world project settings.
Your Role
- Support Engineers, Discipline Leads, and Engineering Managers in day-to-day engineering activities and coordination
- Assist in the development and assembly of engineering deliverables for nuclear and conventional mechanical systems
- Contribute to project execution in accordance with AtkinsRealis Inc. / Candu Energy Quality Assurance Programs and project requirements
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including Document Control, Project Management, and field teams, on assigned task scopes
- Collaborate with members of the nuclear team to support workflow, document reviews, and Request for Information (RFI) activities
- Attend technical and project coordination meetings to support project delivery
- Promote a positive team environment while contributing to engineering and project management activities
About You
- Ability to apply mechanical, chemical, or process engineering fundamentals to develop practical engineering solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Aptitude for planning, organization, multitasking, and coordination in a dynamic environment
- Currently enrolled in a Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or related field Engineering Program with an accredited Canadian University
- Basic knowledge of analytical and design tools (e.g., MATLAB, and/or MathCAD) is an asset
