We use a combination of advanced imaging, electrophysiology, molecular and anatomical approaches, and behavior in mice.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the center of a highly collaborative and active research environment. The Lab Manager will work closely with the Principal Investigator and a team of postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, research assistants, and collaborators to support both the scientific and day-to-day operations of the laboratory.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating day-to-day laboratory operations and helping manage experimental workflows across ongoing, federally funded research projects
  • Working closely with the PI and research team to coordinate project needs, timelines, resources, and priorities
  • Anticipating laboratory and project needs, troubleshooting logistical challenges, and helping ensure continuity and progress across research activities
  • Assisting our laboratory’s colony manager with multiple transgenic mouse lines, including breeding, genotyping, record keeping, and coordination of animals for experiments
  • Maintaining laboratory supplies, equipment, protocols, and shared research resources
  • Helping train and support new laboratory members in established techniques and laboratory practices
  • Supporting wet-lab and experimental procedures as needed, which may include mouse surgeries, histology, tissue processing, immunohistochemistry, microscopy, anatomical tracing, and image analysis

A bachelor’s degree is rquired. A bachelor's degree in neuroscience, biology, or a related scientific field is strongly preferred. We are particularly interested in candidates with prior experience as a laboratory manager, research project manager, or in a similar role coordinating biomedical research. Several years of research experience and experience working with mice are preferred.
