VicRoads is progressing too. In August 2022, we started on a new chapter when the Victorian State Government partnered with Aware Super, Australian Retirement Trust, and Macquarie Asset Management to operate registration and licensing services on its behalf.
We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfill regulatory requirements, deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access, infrastructure and safety.
- Drive technology demand and delivery readiness by assessing incoming initiatives, refining requirements, and ensuring work is ready for successful delivery
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to shape solutions, identify risks and dependencies, and support prioritisation decisions

At VicRoads, we're on a transformational journey to modernise and enhance the services that keep Victorians moving safely and smoothly. As part of our Technology Delivery team, we're looking for a Technology Specialist Delivery who thrives at the intersection of business, technology, and delivery.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the TPO Delivery Lead, you'll play a key role in shaping and assessing technology initiatives before they enter delivery. You'll partner with business stakeholders, architects, engineers and product teams to analyse incoming demand, support discovery activities, and ensure work is well-defined, prioritised, and ready for successful delivery.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in demand management, business analysis, agile delivery, or technology portfolio operations who enjoys solving complex problems and driving clarity across diverse stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage and triage technology demand through established intake processes
- Assess, analyse and refine business requests to ensure they are delivery-ready
- Support discovery activities including workshops, stakeholder engagement and technical analysis
- Partner with Product Owners, Architects and Engineers to validate solution options and technical feasibility
- Conduct impact assessments, estimation and sizing activities
- Identify dependencies, non-functional requirements, risks and assumptions early in the lifecycle
- Provide clear recommendations and insights to support prioritisation and decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement across intake, discovery and delivery readiness processes
About You
You'll bring:
- Experience operating within demand management, intake, business analysis, delivery, or technology portfolio functions
- Strong knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks including Scrum, Kanban or SAFe
- Experience using Jira and Confluence for workflow management, reporting and backlog processes
- The ability to translate technical and architectural concepts into clear, actionable work items
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
- Experience working across multiple delivery teams and technology domains
- Financial and commercial awareness to support prioritisation and benefits tracking
Nice to Have
- Exposure to mainframe or large-scale enterprise environments
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS
- Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD practices and ITIL processes
