Continuity Manager

Safeguard the continuity of services for 9.5 million customers by leading the bank's response to major incidents and ensuring rapid recovery of critical operations.

 

You & Your Function

Lead the operational management of major incidents and crises that impact IT, security, or business operations. As a Continuity Manager, you coordinate stakeholders across the organisation, restore critical services under pressure, and drive continuous improvement after every disruption. Whether managing a large-scale IT outage or guiding post-incident evaluations, you ensure Rabobank remains resilient when continuity matters most.

• Coordinate the resolution of major incidents to minimise customer impact and restore critical services quickly.
• Strengthen continuity management processes by identifying risks and implementing structural improvements.
• Enable stakeholders to make informed decisions during crises through effective coordination and communication, while building awareness and knowledge through training, workshops and crisis games.

• 36 hours per week plus participation in a 24/7 standby and on-call roster
• Responsible for activating and coordinating the Major Incident Management process across IT, Security, and Business operations

• Facilitate and coordinate the end-to-end Major Incident Management process, ensuring critical IT services and business operations are restored swiftly, professionally, and effectively.
• Engage, align, and influence stakeholders across technology, security, risk, and business domains to drive decisive action before, during and after continuity disruptions.
• Evaluate major incidents after resolution, define mandatory improvement actions, and continuously enhance continuity management capabilities and organisational resilience.

 

As part of Continuity & Crisis Management, you act as the highest operational escalation point for disruptions affecting IT, Security, and Business operations, helping the organisation remain resilient in times of crisis.

You & Your Talent

• Master's degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of Cloud, Security, ITIL, Business Continuity Management, Risk Management, and IT Continuity
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
• Strong team player with excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Calm and structured under pressure, with the ability to prioritise effectively during critical situations
• Analytical, results-oriented, and committed to continuous learning and development

 

Preferred Experience

• More than 5 years of experience within Rabobank or another financial institution
• Experience in IT Continuity, Business Continuity Management, or related fields
• Broad IT experience across multiple disciplines and roles
• Experience coordinating stakeholders across complex organisational environments
• Experience participating in 24/7 standby or crisis-management rotations
