Job Description

As a Security Officer Front Desk Access in Hanahan, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor entry activity, and provide outstanding customer service. Using computer or tablet systems, you will help maintain a professional, secure environment while communicating clearly with employees and guests. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a front desk location within a technology, media, and telecommunications environment by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor entry activity, receive and route calls, provide directions, and communicate professionally with site personnel and visitors.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Monitor security-related systems and report unusual activity, access concerns, or facility issues to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
