Description

CAIS is the pioneer in democratizing access to and education about alternative investments for independent financial advisors, empowering them to engage and transact with leading asset managers on a massive scale through a wide variety of alternative investment products and technology solutions. CAIS provides financial advisors with a broad selection of alternative investment strategies, including hedge funds, private equity, private credit, real estate, digital assets, and structured notes. CAIS also delivers industry-leading technology, operational efficiency, and world-class client service throughout the pre-trade, trade, and post-trade experience. CAIS serves over 2,500 wealth management firms that support more than 65,000 financial advisors who oversee approximately $8.5 trillion in end-client assets.

About the Role
CAIS is seeking a Talent Acquisition Partner to lead technology hiring from initial brief through accepted offer, focusing on quality, consistency, and speed of hiring. This is an individual contributor role for an accomplished technical recruiter who combines exceptional sourcing and market-mapping capability with sound judgement, commercial understanding, and credibility with senior technology leaders. You will recruit across Engineering, Product, Machine Learning, Data, Corporate Technology, and Security, and flex into other areas of the business as priorities shift. The role is based in London, with hiring across our teams in the United Kingdom and United States.

We are particularly interested in recruiters who have successfully managed a broad portfolio of technical searches at the same time, rather than specializing exclusively in one discipline. Experience in one or more of the functions above is valuable. Candidates from any technology environment are welcome, and those with financial services or fintech experience are likely to bring relevant market understanding. Experience across every discipline or sector is not expected.

This is not a strategy-only or team-management role. You will remain directly involved throughout the candidate journey, including sourcing, outreach, interview coordination, scheduling, assessment, and closing. You will earn influence through the quality of your delivery, the strength of your advice, and your ability to align hiring teams around clear, evidence-based decisions.

 Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle technical recruitment across Engineering, Product, Machine Learning, Data, Corporate Technology, and Security, flexing into other functions, locations, and seniority levels based on CAIS's most important business needs.
  • Take ownership of approved roles from initial intake through accepted offer, including candidate communication, scheduling, assessment, offer management, and closing.
  • Partner with technology and product leaders to translate business requirements into clear role briefs, candidate profiles, sourcing strategies, scorecards, and structured selection processes.
  • Build and maintain direct talent pipelines for hard-to-find technical talent through proactive sourcing, market mapping, referrals, and long-term relationship development in the UK and US.
  • Provide leaders with market intelligence on technical talent availability, compensation in each market, competitor activity, and likely hiring constraints.
  • Host role-alignment meetings with hiring managers and confirmed interview panels before searches move into full delivery.
  • Design effective interview plans and technical assessment methods, such as coding exercises, system design, and case-based interviews, that support fair, consistent, and evidence-based decisions.
  • Deliver practical interviewer training and coach interview debriefs, helping teams distinguish evidence from intuition or familiarity.
  • Use CAIS's recruiting technology and AI tools effectively and partner with Recruitment Operations on ATS workflows, automation, reporting, and process monitoring.
  • Evaluate emerging recruiting and AI technologies and make evidence-based recommendations on where new tools could improve hiring outcomes or candidate experience.

Qualifications

  • Substantial in-house technical recruiting experience, with evidence of delivering complex and business-critical searches.
  • Experience recruiting in a technology environment, such as a software, SaaS, or technology-led business. Financial services or fintech experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Demonstrated success managing a varied portfolio across different functions and seniority levels at the same time.
  • Recruiting experience within one or more of: Engineering, Product, Machine Learning, Data, Corporate Technology, or Security.
  • Experience hiring across both the UK and US, with a working knowledge of each market preferred.
  • Exceptional direct-sourcing, talent-mapping, and candidate-engagement capability.
  • Evidence of delivering difficult searches without defaulting to external agencies.
  • Strong judgement and the credibility to advise, influence, and constructively challenge senior leaders.
  • Strong command of applicant tracking systems, sourcing platforms, recruiting analytics, and candidate-management tools.
  • Genuine curiosity about AI and emerging recruiting technology, combined with the discipline to evaluate tools critically.
  • Comfort operating as a hands-on individual contributor, including personally managing candidate communication and interview scheduling.

This role is a hybrid role, with at least 2-3 days spent out of our Old Street office - N1 7LB.

CAIS is consistently recognized as a Best Place to Work, and our culture is at the heart of our success. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where employees can be their most authentic self and feel inspired and supported to bring their voice forward to drive community, growth, and innovation. We are an equal opportunity employer, and do not discriminate on the basis of any protected attribute, including race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, marital or veteran status, pregnancy or disability, or any other basis protected under applicable law.  Learn more about our culture, benefits, and people at https://www.caisgroup.com/our-company/careers.

CAIS’ compensation package includes a market competitive salary, a performance bonus, and exceptional benefits. If you are located in London, England, the base salary range for this role is £78,000 - £98,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.

We use technology, including AI tools, to support parts of our recruitment process such as application screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communications. These tools are used to improve efficiency and consistency, but they do not replace human judgement. All hiring decisions are made by people, and we are committed to fair and unbiased assessment of every candidate.
