Schedule: Overnight shifts, with additional shifts as needed

Position Overview

Citadel Security USA is seeking a dependable Unarmed Mobile Patrol Security Officer to help maintain security across multiple assigned properties in the Fort Collins area. This position is suited for someone who is comfortable driving between locations, conducting thorough inspections, and responding promptly when concerns arise.

Rather than remaining at a single post, the officer will cover assigned patrol routes, check buildings and surrounding areas, identify potential risks, and document findings. Strong driving habits, consistent attention to detail, and the ability to make sound decisions independently are essential for success.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Drive assigned patrol routes and visit designated locations to maintain a visible security presence.
• Inspect buildings, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding grounds for signs of unauthorized access, damage, or unsafe conditions.
• Conduct on-foot checks when necessary to examine areas that cannot be adequately assessed from the patrol vehicle.
• Respond promptly to alarms, reported incidents, suspicious activity, and requests for security assistance.
• Secure designated access points and check doors, gates, and windows according to assigned instructions.
• Identify potential safety hazards and communicate concerns to the appropriate supervisor or designated contact.
• Complete accurate patrol logs and incident reports documenting visits, observations, unusual activity, and actions taken.
• Use approved mobile applications, including TrackTik or comparable platforms, to record patrol activity and submit required reports.
• Communicate professionally with clients, members of the public, supervisors, and emergency personnel.
• Follow established post orders, patrol procedures, company policies, and applicable laws.
• Adjust patrol priorities when directed and travel between assigned locations as operational needs change.
• Remain alert while driving and walking through assigned areas, maintaining safe practices throughout each shift.
• Protect confidential information and exercise appropriate judgment when handling security-related matters.
   

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Clean driving record and the ability to drive safely between multiple assigned locations.
• At least 1–2 years of professional security experience.
• Working knowledge of security procedures, emergency protocols, and written post orders.
• Strong observational skills and the ability to recognize suspicious activity and potential hazards.
• Clear verbal communication and the ability to prepare detailed written reports.
• Basic computer proficiency and the ability to use mobile reporting applications.
• Ability to remain composed and make responsible decisions under pressure.
• Professional interpersonal skills when interacting with clients, the public, and emergency responders.
• Ability to work overnight hours and accept additional shifts as needed.
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in security, law enforcement, or military service.
• Previous mobile patrol or multi-location security experience.
• Familiarity with digital patrol tracking and incident management systems.
• Experience responding to alarms, conducting property inspections, and documenting safety concerns.
