Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manual Tester to join our banking technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software quality assurance within financial systems, combined with a solid understanding of Mobile Testing, Agile methodologies, and cloud-based environments (Google Cloud Platform).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex banking applications.
• Validate functional, integration, and regression test coverage across multiple releases and environments. 
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners in Agile ceremonies. 
• Conduct defect triage meetings, ensuring issues are well-documented, prioritised, and tracked to closure. 
• Test API integrations, data flows, and back-office banking processes to maintain data integrity and compliance. 
• Work closely with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to test systems deployed on GCP. 
• Apply testing strategies for certifying builds and ensure readiness for production deployments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 
• Minimum 4–6 years of experience in manual testing, preferably in the banking or financial services sector. 
• Proven experience working in Agile Scrum or Kanban environments. 
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and defect management processes. 
• Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence. Good API testing knowledge. 
• Experience in testing mobile applications. 
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• ISTQB certification or equivalent QA credentials. 
• German speaker/reader — extra points. 
• Exposure to automation tools (Selenium, Postman, JMeter). 
• Experience in testing digital banking applications, core banking systems, or payment platforms.
