Description
•Ability to identify clients’ social problems and needs to assess the ability of individuals and families to utilize services in problem-solving
•Ability to plan and organize work and to understand and interpret laws, policies, and regulations
•Ability to solve problems within scope of responsibility
•Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, associates, social agencies, and the general public
•Master's degree from an appropriately accredited school of social work and one (1) year of social work experience OR
•Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited school of social work and two (2) years of social work or counseling experience OR
•Master's degree in counseling in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and two (2) years of social work or counseling experience OR
•Bachelor’s degree in a human services field from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of social work or counseling experience OR
•Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four (4) years of experience in rehabilitation counseling, pastoral counseling or a related human service field providing experience in the techniques of casework, group work, or community organization OR
•An equivalent combination of training and experience
Note: one (1) year of work experience can be credited for the completion of the social work collaborative
Applications for Social Worker “work against” and Social Worker “Trainee” will be considered if no qualified Social Worker IAT applicants are available. Salary is commensurate with education and experience for “work against” candidates. Starting salary for Social Worker I work against is $48,467.
