The Opportunity
A unique and rewarding opportunity exists for an experienced consulting professional to join the pre-eminent Risk Advisory practice at one of Australia's top leading independent law firms. As a fully integrated practice within the firm, our Risk Advisory team collaborates seamlessly with our Legal and Data Intelligence practice groups, to deliver a full suite of risk advisory consulting services to a range of global and domestic public and private sector clients.
With a strong pipeline of client mandates, this thriving practice is now seeking an experienced risk management consultant (Manager level) to join our high-performing and collegial team in Sydney.
Working alongside industry leading practitioners Doug Nixon, Michelle Dawson, Nigel Williams and Andrew Bangura, you will play a hands-on role advising on a range of risk management, regulatory and compliance matters for a range of tier-1 clients, with a focus on primarily on regulated financial services including banking, asset managers, superannuation and insurance.
You will be responsible for providing strategic advice and help clients navigate complex regulatory environments, manage risks effectively, and achieve their business objectives. You will play a key, hands-on role with the design and implementation of risk management frameworks, deliver regulatory compliance advice and governance reviews, and support on regulatory enforcements and investigations.

You will collaborate seamlessly with a diverse team of industry-leading professionals across the Firm to deliver exceptional, innovative, practical, and commercially focused solutions to our clients.
About You
6+ years’ consulting experience gained within a top-tier professional services firm.
Strong background in risk management and regulatory compliance, particularly within the financial services sector.
Familiarity with Australian regulatory frameworks including APRA, ASIC and/or AUSTRAC.
Strong, demonstrated ability to confidently and efficiently execute complex, novel and bespoke projects.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, commercial solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and presenting to c-suite executives.
An agile mindset, curiosity, and a passion for collaborating in multidisciplinary teams that combine legal, risk, data and technology expertise.
