We are looking for a motivated and experienced Retail Shift Supervisor to work at one of our retail businesses.
Position Summary
The Retail Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading shift operations of an assigned retail business by providing exceptional customer service, supervising team members, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining company standards. Candidates selected through this recruitment may be assigned to the retail business that best aligns with their experience, skills, and operational needs following the interview and evaluation process.
The ideal candidate is an experienced retail supervisor with a passion for leadership, customer service, and helping to develop high-performing teams. Experience in food service, food retail, or food handling is highly desirable but not required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Supervise operations of an assigned retail business during your scheduled shifts.
• Lead, coach, motivate, and develop team members to deliver exceptional guest service.
• Promote a positive, respectful, and accountable work environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, and daily labor management as needed.
• Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, training, and corrective action when appropriate.
• Oversee opening, closing, cash handling, and point-of-sale procedures.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, stocking, and merchandising inventory.
• Ensure retail displays remain attractive, organized, and fully stocked.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the business.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of retail supervisory or management experience required.
• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing employees.
• Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience handling cash, balancing registers, and maintaining operational controls.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in retail, food service, grocery, restaurant deli, convenience store, or similar operations.
• Food handling experience is a plus.
• Current Food Handler Card or ability to obtain one upon hire.
• Experience with inventory management and ordering.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
