Your role and responsibilities
Plan and ensure execution of Local Business Line projects for ST/ GTs Turbine Control. Complete assignments on multiple Turbine Control System projects of moderate size or portions of major projects, cost- effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety

In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact, as you will be accountable for:
Coordinating engineering discipline across several Turbine projects, provides technical support for testing, installation and commissioning activities.
Designing and conducting experiments, analyzes and interprets data, prepares complete project documents in one’s area of responsibility.
Improving effectiveness of work plan in collaboration with other functions.
Collaborating with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed to with potential suppliers.
Providing technical evaluation of supplier proposals and accepts as fit for purpose supplied equipment or services.
Developing, selecting and applying standard techniques, procedures and tools. Ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.
Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc).
Creating work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility. Reviewing and approving scope, budget and schedule for assignments and ensures quality deliveries on time and within targeted cost.
Qualifications for the role
You have a technical diploma or a Degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering and a minimum of 3 years of experience in Steam/Gas Turbine control applications and projects or in Industrial Automation.
You have technical experience working with Automation and Electrical products and solutions in the Oil & Gas and/or Power Generation domains. Previous experience with Automation projects involving Turbine OEMs is a plus.
You have a strong background in Automation, including DCS, Instrumentation & Control (I&C), and Protection systems. Knowledge of ABB Control Systems is considered a plus.
You have a general understanding of network engineering and IT/IS, including PC handling, Windows applications, PC configurations, virus scanners, interfaces, backups, and cybersecurity.
You have strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications and related business and engineering software such as CAD/AUTOCAD, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
You have a customer-focused mentality that fosters strong relationships and long-term commitments, both internally and externally to ABB.
You have availability to participate in commissioning activities, both in Italy and abroad, if and when required. You are at ease communicating in both English and Italian.
Compensation Package

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico
Minimum annual salary: € 48.000
Variable Pay: AIP target 5% + Eligible for Company Productivity Bonus
