Position Overview

The Engineer, Cyber Security is responsible for supporting the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of cyber security solutions to protect the organization’s digital assets, networks, and applications. This role collaborates with senior engineers, lead engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams to ensure security initiatives are executed effectively. The Engineer applies technical expertise to maintain secure systems, follows best practices, and contributes to a strong security culture aligned with company values.

Essential Job Functions

• Implement, configure, and maintain cyber security tools and solutions across networks, applications, cloud, and endpoints.

• Collaborate with senior engineers, lead engineers, IT, risk, compliance, and business teams to ensure secure integration of systems and processes.

• Monitor and troubleshoot security systems to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance.

• Assist in evaluating emerging cyber threats, technologies, and regulatory requirements, recommending mitigation actions as needed.

• Support threat modeling, risk assessments, and security reviews for assigned projects.

• Follow and help enforce security standards, policies, and best practices.

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and adherence to company values.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field; relevant experience may substitute for education.

• 2–3 years of experience in cyber security, information security, or related IT roles.

• Knowledge of enterprise security frameworks, network security, cloud security, application security, and threat management.

• Ability to implement and support security solutions in operational and project contexts.

• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, SOC2) is a plus.

• Commitment to upholding company values and fostering a high-performing, security-conscious team culture.

• Travel required is expected to be up to 5% but may increase over time as the business evolves.
