As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. You may assist with sensitive hospital situations while demonstrating Allied Universal’s caring, reliable, agile, innovative, team-oriented, and integrity-driven values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility grounds, entrances, parking areas, corridors, and other designated areas, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly healthcare environment by providing directions, supporting visitor management procedures, and documenting incidents in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be willing to comply with hospital vaccination requirements.
• Must be willing to work in and around a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals when necessary.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
