The Opportunity
The support position on the Consultant Relations team at Hamilton Lane provides critical
operational, analytical, and relationship management support. This role ensures seamless
interactions with consultants, executes strategic initiatives, and helps maintain and enhance
the firm’s reputation among investment consulting partners.
Please note that this position does not directly involve sales or prospecting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and support all consultant-related meetings and communications, including
preparing agendas, circulating materials, managing logistics, and tracking follow-up
actions.
• Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate, current information on consultants,
meetings, interactions, organizational structures, and key actions or updates.
• Prepare detailed meeting summaries and ensure timely, high-quality reporting for
consultants and clients, including quarterly, ad-hoc, and portfolio/fund updates;
proactively communicate key consultant developments to internal and global Client
Solutions teams.
• Gather, compile, and provide data, documentation, and responses for consultant and
client requests (including ad hoc, due diligence, RFPs/DDQs/Consultant Updates) by
collaborating with internal stakeholders and the RFP/Content Team.
• Support the implementation and project management of strategic initiatives to enhance
Consultant Relations operations, such as technology integrations, process
improvements, and data integrity initiatives.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Hamilton Lane’s products, strategies, and market
positioning to ensure accurate, value-added communication with consultants and
clients.
• Contribute to a range of HQ Client Solutions responsibilities, such as updating standard
materials, coordinating on-site activities, and advancing key strategic projects aligned
with client solutions objectives.
Experience:
College degree (B.A., B.S., or B.B.A)
• 0-3 years’ experience in a related financial services role
• Must be detail oriented and organized and able to handle multiple assignments
• Experience supporting sales function, a plus
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Strong quantitative/analytical skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
