The Opportunity
Join Hitachi Energy as a Business Process Quality Senior Professional and play a key role in driving product and process excellence across our global engineering and manufacturing organization. In this role, you will lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities for new and existing products and manufacturing processes, ensuring risks are proactively identified and mitigated throughout the product lifecycle.
Working closely with R&D, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams, you will help strengthen product reliability, improve process performance, and embed a culture of continuous improvement. This is an exciting opportunity to influence the development of critical power technologies and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, reliable solutions for the energy industry.
How You Will Make an Impact
Lead and facilitate Design and Process FMEA workshops for new and existing products, processes, and technologies
Conduct risk assessments for product designs and manufacturing processes, identifying opportunities for quality and reliability improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams involved in the development of transformers, switchgears, breakers, and other high-voltage equipment
Ensure effective application of FMEA methodologies and maintain high standards across all related activities
Coach and support engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams in FMEA principles and best practices
Provide quality expertise and consultation to R&D projects, promoting preventive quality approaches
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and introduce innovative solutions to enhance product and process performance
Facilitate knowledge sharing and best-practice exchange across global development and manufacturing locations
Your Background
Master's degree in Engineering, such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline
5+ years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, or a related technical field
Proven experience with quality management methodologies, particularly FMEA, and other quality improvement tools
Strong analytical, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
Experience within power transformer design and manufacturing is an advantage
Fluent in English and willing to travel internationally
