Description
Overview
At SSOE, we design and build the future for our clients, colleagues, and communities. We design places for people to heal, learn, govern, and work. Our clients range from important community institutions to companies in both the private and public sectors—including Fortune US 100 corporations that are leading the nation’s innovation economy.
The ideal candidate is a key technical leader who is technically strong, motivated, proactive, and committed to producing quality work. They communicate clearly, demonstrate sound engineering judgment, lead multidisciplinary teams effectively, take ownership of project responsibilities, and mentor less experienced engineers and designers while supporting innovative large-scale facility projects.
The scope and complexity of assigned work will vary based on the employee’s experience, demonstrated skills, project needs, and level of development.
AI and Innovation
At SSOE, we don’t just talk about the future, we build it. As a leader in industry AI adoption, we empower our team to work smarter by providing responsible access to the industry leading AI Large Language Models, vibe-coding platforms, and securely integrating advanced tools into every role. From day one, you’ll receive the training and support needed to leverage AI as a core tool for enhancing productivity, sparking creativity, and streamlining complex workflows.

- Plans and conducts work requiring independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of standard engineering methods; makes independent decisions on complex problems and may develop or refine unique design solutions, with increasing latitude based on experience.
- Manages and executes design deliverables using Revit / BIM platforms, applying SSOE standards for model quality and coordination.
- Performs and reviews load calculations, short-circuit and coordination studies, and lighting analysis using industry software.
- Performs detailed phases of engineering work on major projects or total engineering work on projects of smaller or moderate scope.
- Meets with clients to define project scope, present project progress, and assure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provides supervisor and project manager with scope of work change warnings.
