We are seeking an Electronics Assembler II for our Operations Department. The successful candidate will have strong electronics and electro-mechanical manufacturing experience, with demonstrated proficiency in soldering, mechanical assembly, and epoxy potting. This position is responsible for performing complex electronics and electro-mechanical assembly in accordance with AS91000 requirements, engineering documentation, and established workmanship standards.

We are seeking an Electronics Assembler II for our Operations Department. Responsibilities:
- Perform precision hand soldering of electronic components (SMT, through-hole, and harnessing) in accordance with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards.
- Assemble complex electro-mechanical systems, including PCB assemblies, cable harnesses, and subassemblies, using detailed drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Support prototype builds by interpreting engineering documentation, identifying issues, and providing feedback to improve manufacturability.
- Execute production assembly and in-process inspection to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.
- Perform epoxy potting, bonding, and conformal coating processes as required.
- Maintain accurate material control, traceability, and inventory records in compliance with AS9100 procedures.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, and other support functions to resolve technical issues, material discrepancies, workmanship concerns, part conformance issues and ensure on-time delivery.
- Train and mentor less experienced assemblers on soldering techniques, workmanship standards, and best practices.
- Identify assembly issues, nonconformances, and opportunities for process improvement; resolve or escalate as appropriate.
- Maintain ESD compliance and proper handling of sensitive and optical components.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards.
- Perform additional duties as required to support evolving production needs.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Electronics or relevant technical/vocational training preferred.
- 4+ years of electronics manufacturing/assembly experience, preferably in a high-reliability aerospace, defense, or similar manufacturing environment.
- Experience with printed circuit board assembly, electrical harness production, ESD control, and handling optical components are a plus.
- Strong soldering skills in SMT, through-hole, and harnessing.
- Strong working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 workmanship requirements; current IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification desired.
- Must be capable of following assembly procedures and drawings to perform complex electro-mechanical assembly and system integration.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, and work instructions.
- High level of manual dexterity and attention to detail for intricate assemblies.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on complex tasks.
- Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and quality focus.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-reliability manufacturing environment.
- Ability to clearly document nonconformances, discrepancies, and assembly issues in accordance with established quality procedures.
Pay Range: $28.00 - $33.00 hr. (However, compensation for this position will vary based on your skills, qualifications, and experience)
