Ride DTO is Downtown Orlando's on-demand transportation service, operated and powered by Freebee! Designed to provide residents, workers, and visitors with a convenient, affordable, and flexible way to travel throughout Downtown Orlando, Ride DTO uses a fleet of eco-friendly vehicles to connect passengers with the places that matter most.

Whether heading to work, visiting local businesses, attending an event, or exploring everything Downtown Orlando has to offer, passengers can request rides through the Freebee app or by phone! The service operates within the Downtown Orlando Community Redevelopment Area (CRA), offering a convenient alternative to traditional transportation while improving mobility and accessibility throughout the community.

Job Description

This isn't just another driving job – it's an opportunity to be part of an innovative transportation program that makes Downtown Orlando more accessible, connected, and enjoyable for residents and visitors alike.

As a Driver Ambassador, you'll be the face of Ride DTO, providing safe, reliable, and friendly transportation throughout Downtown Orlando. You'll help commuters get to work, assist visitors exploring the city, and connect residents with local businesses, restaurants, entertainment, and community destinations.

You'll also represent a program built around accessibility, hospitality, and community pride, helping make Downtown Orlando an even better place to live, work, and visit.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, and courteous transportation throughout the Downtown Orlando Community Redevelopment Area using a fleet of eco-friendly electric or hybrid vehicles.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to all passengers, including assisting seniors, individuals with disabilities, tourists, commuters, and other riders with special needs.
• Maintain a clean and professional vehicle environment and perform daily safety checks.
• Use Freebee's navigation tools and dispatch systems to follow efficient routes, minimize passenger wait times, and navigate Downtown Orlando's busy streets.
• Represent Ride DTO, the City of Orlando, and Freebee with professionalism, whether on the road, during local events, or through community interactions.
• Report incidents, maintenance issues, and rider feedback promptly to management.
• Promote Downtown Orlando's local businesses, restaurants, attractions, and community programs when appropriate.

Position Requirements

• You must be at least 22 years old
• Must be able to pass the pre-employment drug test, criminal background check, and physical
• Must have a valid Florida Driver’s License
• Have 3+ years of licensed driving experience in the United States
• Must have a passion for helping others
• Must possess strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask and navigate a driver app
• Must have a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently while staying connected with a remote support team
• Comfort with interacting with a diverse range of passengers, including seniors, students, tourists, and daily commuters
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends

A Day in the Life of a Driver Ambassador

• Report to our headquarters in downtown Orlando, where our fleet of eco-friendly vehicles await.
• Open up the Freebee Driver Ambassador app and start your day by logging in.
• Walk through our comprehensive vehicle checklist to make sure all is well with the vehicle.
• Clean up your vehicle’s interior; a clean space makes for happy passengers!
• Hit the road and navigate the zones assigned to you, providing friendly, reliable service to each rider.
• Need help? Our workforce management and support teams are just a call or message away, always ready to assist
• Wrap up the day by returning your vehicle to the Freebee garage. After a quick cleaning session, plug the vehicle into our charging stations and you’re done for the day!
