• Job Title: Logistics Analyst/Coordinator
• Location: Dundee
• Hours: 37 hours per week, permanent position

ROLE SUMMARY

In this role, you will work closely with transportation vendors and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments. You will support day-to-day logistics operations and ensure compliance with UK and European customs laws and regulations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage relationships with transportation providers, freight forwarders, express couriers, and road transport suppliers.
• Work with customs brokers to ensure timely customs clearances and deliveries.
• Support customs compliance activities, including Intrastat reporting.
• Participate in quarterly business reviews with key transportation suppliers.
• Monitor and report on supplier performance metrics.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation activities and shipment tracking.
• Manage transportation-related escalations and support issue resolution across the region.
• Support shipping operations to and from the Dundee site.
• Provide timely updates to internal and external stakeholders regarding critical orders and shipments.
• Investigate and resolve shipping and delivery issues, including submitting claims for lost or damaged freight.
• Determine appropriate transportation routes based on delivery requirements and customer needs.
• Identify opportunities to optimise transportation efficiency through shipment consolidation and process improvement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to support operational objectives and customer requirements.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Confident using Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• University degree or equivalent experience within a logistics, supply chain, or transportation environment.
• Knowledge of UK and European customs regulations would be advantageous.
