Avantor is currently on the lookout for a motivated Material handler to join the team in Schiphol-Rijk.

You will work on a full-time basis at our customer site in Schiphol-Rijk. You will receive a contract for 1 year, transferred into a permanent one after a positive evaluation. The team
You’ll get to work in a supportive and hardworking team, consisting of 5 associates and belongs to our department Lab and Production Services. This department supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.
What we’re looking for
MBO3 or 4 lab studies is preferred, depending on experience
Lab experience is an asset
Proficient in MS Office, in particular with MS Excel
Effective communication skills in English, Dutch is an asset
Knowledge of chemicals is a great asset
Outgoing, customer minded, and responsible
Experience in an administrative role (in GMP environment is a plus)
Detail oriented, accurate
Working hours
Monday - Friday, flexible start time between 07:00 - 8:00 and finish time as of 16:00. Willingness to support the team during weekend coverage on a rotating basis (approximately every 8 weeks, covering 2 weekends)
How you will thrive and create an impact
Receive samples from the sampling team
Prepare equipment and make sure everything is available at all time
Prepare shipments and check if all materials are present
Manage the inventory of materials by placing orders and following up on these orders, in collaboration with the coordinator
Manage certificates for analytical checks and other paperwork
Prepare samples for storage, remove and dispose of samples as required, maintain an inventory of samples on retain, update logbooks as required, and disposal of in-process samples
