We are looking for a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our APAC Human Resources Team in Japan. The HRBP serves as a trusted advisor to business leaders and employees, supporting a wide range of human resources activities including compensation and benefits, payroll, employee relations, employee engagement, talent management, organizational effectiveness, and HR operations. This role works closely with leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver people solutions that align with business objectives while fostering a positive and inclusive employee experience.

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
- The ability to communicate exceptionally well, both in writing and verbally in English and Japanese, including communicating with diverse, dispersed, and remote teams.
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience in a Business Partner, Human Resources Generalist, or related HR role.
- Experience supporting employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, compensation and benefits, payroll coordination, employee relations, and engagement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
- Ability to analyze HR data and provide insights to support business decision-making.
- A detail-oriented, self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.

What will you be doing in this role?
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor to business leaders and employees, providing guidance on people-related matters.
- Partner with managers to support employee lifecycle activities including onboarding, performance management, employee development, promotions, and offboarding.
- Support compensation and benefits processes including salary reviews, market benchmarking, annual compensation cycles, and benefits administration.
- Coordinate payroll activities with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Provide advice and support on employee relations matters, workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and employee experience activities to foster a positive workplace culture.
- Support workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, and talent management initiatives.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to provide insights and recommendations to business leaders.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, company policies, and HR procedures.
- Partner with regional and global HR teams to implement HR programs, policies, and strategic initiatives.
- Support change management activities associated with organizational and business transformations.
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR programs, policies, benefits, and employment-related questions.
