The Role

We are looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager to own paid acquisition and customer marketing across our lending portfolios. You will run our pay-per-click programs day to day, manage campaigns from budget to creative to reporting, and use modern AI tools to move faster and test more. You will work closely with our Lead Gen, Underwriting, Data & Analytics, and Compliance teams. At Hive, marketing performance is measured by loans that fund and perform, not just clicks or leads, so you will learn to connect campaign data to credit outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Plan, launch, and optimize PPC campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and paid social, owning keyword strategy, bidding, audiences, ad copy, and landing-page testing.
• Manage paid media budgets across multiple portfolios, pacing spend against targets for cost per funded loan and return on ad spend.
• Build and maintain tracking and attribution (GA4, conversion tracking, UTMs, tag management) so every channel can be measured from click to application to funded loan.
• Partner with Lead Gen on channel performance and lead-source quality, and help identify sources that bring volume but poor loan performance.
• Run email and SMS lifecycle campaigns (onboarding, payment reminders, remarketing to former customers, referral programs) in tools such as Brevo and SlickText, supporting our migration off Marketo.
• Use LLM tools (such as Claude or ChatGPT) to speed up campaign work, including generating and testing ad copy variations, drafting landing-page and email content, analyzing campaign data, and building repeatable prompts and workflows the team can reuse. All AI-assisted content still goes through Compliance review.
• Track how Hive's brands appear in AI-generated search answers (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity), and adjust content and SEO strategy to improve visibility.
• Design and read A/B tests on ads, landing pages, and messages, and turn results into clear recommendations.
• Work with Compliance on every campaign so ads, disclosures, and messages meet lending advertising rules, TCPA consent requirements, and fair-lending standards.
• Produce weekly and monthly performance reporting for leadership with clear insight into what's working, what isn't, and what's next.
• Manage agency and vendor relationships where applicable.

What You Bring

• 3–5 years of digital marketing experience, including at least 2 years managing PPC campaigns hands-on (required).
• Proven results managing meaningful paid search budgets with measurable cost-per-acquisition and ROAS outcomes.
• Strong working knowledge of Google Ads, GA4, and conversion tracking; Google Ads certification preferred.
• Hands-on experience using LLMs in a marketing workflow, such as producing ad creative at scale, content drafting, or data analysis, with good judgment about where AI output needs human review.
• Experience with email and SMS marketing platforms and lifecycle campaigns.
• Comfort with data: you can build reports in Excel or a BI tool and explain what the numbers mean.
• Clear, persuasive writing for ads, landing pages, and customer messages.
• A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience in consumer lending, fintech, or other regulated financial services.
• Familiarity with lead-generation marketplaces, ping-tree lead buying, or affiliate marketing.
• Working knowledge of TCPA, CAN-SPAM, UDAAP, or lending advertising disclosure rules.
• Experience managing marketing across multiple brands at once.
• Experience with AI search optimization (AEO/GEO) or with building custom prompts, AI agents, or automations for marketing tasks.
