Regulatory Reporting Associate

The Role 

We are seeking a highly qualified Associate to work in our Regulatory Reporting team. The Regulatory Reporting team partners with Compliance, Finance, Risk, Treasury, Operations, and Technology to ensure complete, accurate, and timely regulatory disclosures in every jurisdiction where the firm trades. As an Associate you will both run existing processes and help shape the future of regulatory compliance at the firm.

What you’ll do 

• Execute on key recurring and ad hoc regulatory filings and ownership disclosures (SEC, CFTC, FCA, MAS, etc.).
• Design, implement, and monitor data quality rules to ensure the accuracy of regulatory filings.
• Write detailed business process documentation and calculation specifications for regulatory filings.
• Understand, execute, and contribute to code (SQL/Python) to aggregate datasets and automate processes.
• Understand all the datasets available for reporting and scope out which datasets are appropriate for the given filing.
• Interface with internal partner teams as well as external vendors to help build out reporting processes and infrastructure.
• Perform ad hoc data analysis to answer questions from partner teams and regulators.

What you’ll bring

What you need:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance/accounting/economics or STEM; CPA / CFA a plus.
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience at a buy-side firm, consulting agency, or managed service provider.
• Experience with certain regulatory reports like Form PF, CPO-PQR, Annex IV, 13F, 13G, 13H, Form ADV, and MAS surveys.
• Foundational programming skills in Python and experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Understanding of a variety of different hedge fund strategies and comfort dealing with a wide array of asset classes (Equities, Futures, Options, FX, Bonds, Swaps, Credit).
• Strong written and oral communication skills; able to thrive in a fast-paced multi-PM environment.
• Impeccable attention to detail.

We’d love it if you had:

• Experience with Asia and EMEA reporting requirements.
• Prior software engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence experience.
• Prior audit, financial reporting, or fund accounting experience.
• Experience using AI in a compliance or reporting setting.

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $120,000 and $200,000. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
