Senior Specialist - Finance Process Excellence

This role is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, eliminating inefficiencies, strengthening controls, standardizing ways of working, and helping finance operate more effectively at scale. Working across Finance team members in all regions and partnering with technology, supply chain, retail and other business functions you will lead process reviews, facilitate workshops, analyse current ways of working and design practical improvements and deliver measurable business value. The scope doesn't stop at fixing today's problems but it contributes to thinking about redesigning the processes that are scalable for the future. 

The Senior Specialist - Finance process excellence  will report to Head of Finance Automation & Enablement on the Finance operations Excellence team supporting the Finance function across the globe.

 

Your Mission:

-  Map current (As-is) and future (To-be) processes  across Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Treasury, Tax and Master Data.

-  Facilitate stakeholder workshops and analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, pain points, and strategic improvement opportunities

- Apply Lean and continuous improvement techniques to simplify processes. Support root cause analysis using structured problem solving techniques.

-  Build and maintain a pipeline of process improvement initiatives. Measure and report realised business benefits.

- Recommend practical improvements based on data analysis that reduce manual effort, improve quality and increase efficiency

-  Support implementation of approved improvements and monitor benefits.

 

Your Story:

-  Proven experience improving end to end finance processes within a complex global organisation (ideally retail). 

- Strong knowledge of finance operations, including areas such as Record to Report, Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Tax, FP&A.

-  Excellent process improvement and analytical skills, with experience in process mapping, root cause analysis, Lean or continuous improvement methodologies, and translating insights into practical solutions.

-  Strong Stakeholder management and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence, challenge constructively, and build trusted relationships across finance and cross-functional teams. 

-  Experience with ERP (ideally D365 FO) and tools like Excel/Google sheet, Looker, Miro, Parabola or any workflow builder, AI agents, and process mining tool.

- A collaborative, curious and improvement focussed mindset, with excellent communication skills and a passion for driving operational excellence, governance and sustainable change.
