Description
The Inventory & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting inventory control and logistics activities within a manufacturing environment. This role helps ensure accurate inventory records, timely movement of materials, and efficient coordination of inbound and outbound shipments.
Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory activities.
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies for resolution.
- Process inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, adjustments, and shipments.
Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with suppliers, customers, and transportation providers.
- Prepare shipping documentation including bills of lading and packing slips.
- Track shipments and communicate status updates.
- Schedule pickups and deliveries with carriers.
Production and Warehouse Support
- Coordinate material movement between warehouse and production areas.
- Support production schedules by ensuring materials are available when needed.
- Communicate inventory and delivery issues that may impact production.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of inventory, logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing support experience.
- ERP or inventory management system experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
