We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Client Accountant to join our Governance Services team in Mauritius. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, providing high-quality accounting services and building trusted relationships with colleagues, clients, auditors and external service providers.
In this role, your work will be varied and rewarding, from preparing and reviewing financial statements and management accounts to supporting audits and analysing complex financial information. About the role
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS and FRS 102
Prepare management accounts, periodic reports, capital account statements and net asset valuations
Manage client audit processes and provide information required by auditors
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records using systems including Viewpoint, QuickBooks and Yardi
Build and develop effective relationships with clients, auditors and third-party service providers
Collaborate with client administration teams and colleagues to resolve accounting queries and provide technical support
Ensure client deadlines and service standards are consistently achieved across all assigned entities
Develop a detailed understanding of client transactions and provide regular updates to your line manager
Support the delivery of a coordinated and consistent Governance Services offering across jurisdictions
Maintain compliance with firm policies, procedures and professional development requirements
About you
Desire to study towards a relevant professional qualification, be part-qualified, or qualified through relevant experience, with sound technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS and their practical application
Demonstrable experience preparing financial statements, management accounts and other financial reports
Working knowledge of accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
Proven ability to analyse financial data, solve problems and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
