The Senior Manager — FP&A Systems and Governance is accountable for the operational integrity, governance and stability of the OneStream platform that underpins Amex GBT's FP&A function. This role ensures the platform delivers accurate, trusted data to all FP&A consumers, sets and enforces governance standards across the platform, and builds the long-term system capability of the team. The role is responsible for the day-to-day reliability of the platform, the quality of the data it produces, and the ongoing reduction of dependency on external implementation partners. It is a senior leadership position within the FP& A Transformation team, with direct line management of the platform administration team and accountability for platform outcomes.
What You’ll do
Own end-to-end operational responsibility for the OneStream platform, including system stability, performance, capacity and upgrade planning and Monitor and manage platform health daily, including elastic pool capacity, consolidation scheduling, and integration health.
Lead production upgrade cycles in coordination with OneStream Support and Amex GBT IT, including regression testing and rollback planning and establish and maintain a single source of truth across all data feeds (PLN_Input, CTPInput, and others).
Own the relationship with OneStream Support for all platform-related issues and escalations and ensure the integrity and accuracy of all data flowing through the platform — actuals, forecasts, compensation model, allocations, sub-segment data.
Own metadata management — entity hierarchies, dimensions, scenarios, calculation logic, business rules and define and enforce data validation controls at pre-load, consolidation and pre-lock stages.
Lead reconciliation processes between OneStream and source systems including NetSuite, Workday and other feeds and build data and reporting-logic depth within the systems team that creates resilience alongside the FP&A Data and Systems function.
Own the Run Book and Cycle Governance Calendar — ensure adherence by the admin team and end users and operate the Change Control Board for all platform changes — no change to production without documented assessment, dev testing and sign-off where required.
Maintain the RAID log for systems and governance items, ensuring weekly updates and clean close-out and represent the FP&A platform in cross-functional change discussions, including CWT integration and other transformation activity.
Apply governance controls across the platform to ensure compliance with relevant ITGCs and SOX requirements and lead the OneStream administration manager and build cross-training and SOP coverage to eliminate single points of failure across consolidation, compensation model and system access.
Drive Genesis certification and architectural training for the team and reduce long-term dependency on external implementation partners by building internal capability and architectural knowledge.
Evaluate opportunities to apply AI and automation to platform administration, user support and finance processes, and escalate recommendations to FP&A Transformation leadership for prioritization and partner with the Senior Director, FP&A Transformation on programme strategy, roadmap and resource planning.
What We're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline (essential).Master's degree or relevant professional certification (CA, CIMA, MBA, or CPA) advantageous.
OneStream Certified Associate (OCA) required at hire. OneStream Certified Professional (OCP) required within 6–12 months of start date.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in finance systems, with at least 5 years in a senior or leadership capacity and deep hands-on experience with OneStream strongly preferred. Alternative comparable experience considered for candidates from Hyperion, Anaplan, Tagetik or SAP BPC, with willingness to certify in OneStream rapidly.
Proven experience leading platform BAU operations in a large global finance function and track record of establishing governance and change control disciplines in a complex environment with multiple data sources and consumers.
Experience managing vendor relationships with implementation partners (Big Four or specialist consultancies) and software vendors and strong line management experience, including building team capability, cross-training and developing direct reports.
Experience working in or with FP&A or financial reporting functions, providing context for the business use of the platform.
Familiarity with SAP, NetSuite, Workday or comparable ERP and HRIS systems advantageous.
Experience supporting global finance organization's with multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation.
