Job Description:
Major Responsibilities
Lead solutions through the systems life cycle from inception to go-live and beyond.
Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business needs and deliver creative, practical solutions.
Deliver functional and technical requirements to development teams.
Advise decision makers by providing insightful data visualizations and reporting to drive impactful business decisions.
Lead projects in consultation with IT Security, Infrastructure, business owners, and vendors; drive projects end to end while ensuring stakeholder alignment.
Ensure deliverables are completed in accordance with project management methodology; clearly and frequently communicate status.
Influence the future of business systems while engaging and participating in system/product selection and evaluation.
Define scope and quality assurance strategy to keep business systems current and reliable.
Manage operational activities on projects and enhancements, including monitoring resource needs, preparing documentation, status reports, key issues, and change controls.
Analyze the overall health of business systems at CF through system issue tracking and cross-functional alignment.
Workday Configuration & Administration
Configure, maintain, and optimize Workday business processes, security roles, organizations, calculated fields, validations, condition rules, notifications, and tenant setup.
Design, configure, test, and deploy Workday enhancements across HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, and other applicable modules.
Evaluate Workday releases and new functionality, recommend adoption opportunities, and lead implementation of approved features.
Maintain system documentation, configuration workbooks, process flows, and audit-ready support materials.
Reporting & Analytics
Design, develop, and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, scorecards, and calculated fields to support business operations and executive decision-making.
Partner with HR, Finance, and business stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into scalable Workday reporting solutions.
Ensure reporting data integrity, consistency, and compliance with governance standards.
Support downstream integrations and data feeds utilizing Workday reporting and data extract capabilities.
Operational Support & Service Management
Participate in the Workday support rotation, providing functional support, issue triage, root cause analysis, and resolution of production incidents and service requests.
Monitor Workday system health, proactively identify risks, and coordinate remediation activities with vendors, support teams, and business stakeholders.
Participate in change management, release management, testing coordination, and production deployment activities.
Support audit requests, compliance reviews, security reviews, and internal control activities related to Workday processes and data.
Project Leadership
Serve as project manager for small to medium-sized initiatives, enhancements, and continuous improvement efforts.
Develop project plans, resource estimates, timelines, risk logs, issue logs, stakeholder communications, and status reporting.
Lead requirements gathering, solution design, testing coordination, deployment planning, and post-production support.
Coordinate activities across business teams, vendors, and technical resources to ensure successful project delivery.
Business Partnership & Process Improvement
Act as a trusted advisor to HR and business leaders by identifying opportunities to simplify processes, automate manual work, and improve user experience.
Analyze business processes and recommend Workday-based solutions aligned with CF Industries standards and strategic objectives.
Drive continuous improvement efforts leveraging Workday functionality, integrations, and reporting capabilities.
Internal Controls
Establish and implement processes and procedures to meet departmental internal controls requirements.
Ensure established processes and procedures are followed as designed. Work with Internal Controls to identify deficiencies in existing processes/procedures, the need for new ones, and the extent to which such processes/procedures are being followed.
Develop and implement corrective actions with regard to departmental internal controls as necessary.

Incumbent Attributes
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience in a related field is typically preferred.
Years of experience: 5+ years of related professional work experience may be preferred to complete all essential job functions.
Experience of and participation in the change process, attending change board as a representative.
Knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations.
Business test planning and coordination experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong organization and time management skills.
Ability to learn, demonstrate, and apply knowledge of the business to deliver improvements in solutions and processes and better align IT service with business goals.
Advanced Workday functional configuration experience.
Experience building complex Workday reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and data extracts.
Experience leading Workday releases, testing cycles, and tenant management activities.
Demonstrated project management experience delivering small to medium-sized technology initiatives.
Strong knowledge of HR processes, data governance, security concepts, and SOX/internal control requirements.

The estimated base pay for the position is typically between $99,500 - 139,900
The actual base pay for the position may be influenced by factors such as education, training, skills, qualifications, competencies, years of experience, job-related knowledge, and scope of the role, and could be outside of the posted pay range.
