Role summary:As a Software Engineer III at Walmart, you will lead the design and development of scalable software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management and user experience. What you'll do:
- Collaborate with product, project, business, and user experience teams to develop high-level designs for small to medium projects.
- Analyze and troubleshoot production and business issues through root cause analysis and develop effective solutions.
- Translate project requirements into technical solutions, write code, and conduct unit testing to ensure quality delivery.
- Manage defect tracking, regression testing, and performance troubleshooting to maintain application stability.
- Support continuous integration and deployment by automating routine tasks and implementing telemetry features.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to small engineering teams, ensuring adherence to coding standards and security policies.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in software design, development, and delivery within Agile environments.
- Strong technical acumen in object-oriented programming, API design, and platform development.
- Expertise in debugging, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting complex production issues.
- Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices and automation scripting.
- Ability to analyze requirements, develop scalable solutions, and ensure high availability and maintainability.
- Experience mentoring and guiding small engineering teams, including offshore associates.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies, defect management, and quality assurance processes.
- Commitment to delivering business value through iterative and incremental development.

Herndon, Virginia US-10710: The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 - $216,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
