Job Description

Overall Objective

• Own and drive training and other interventions that will enable development of functional competencies towards the achievement of business goals and corporate mission by forging strong partnerships with stakeholders, sales and marketing teams.
• Maintain awareness and understanding of key business priorities, brand strategy, business processes, operational needs, and internal and external best practices, and lead the engagement with business leaders and divisional stakeholders to identify capability gaps, performance gaps and training needs.
• Establish the annual training plan in collaboration with the business (sales and marketing), key divisional stakeholders (e.g. medical, digital, data & analytics), centers of excellence to design and implement and provide training and other interventions to build critical capabilities, including targeted new capabilities (eg. Omnichannel Engagement, Strategic Key Account Management and Digital, Data & Analytics capabilities) and enable development of functional competencies that will drive the achievement of business goals and strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

TRAINING NEEDS ANALYSIS

• Effectively establish, deepen and sustain key relationships with business leaders and mid-level managers to understand their business needs, portfolio or brand strategies, and identify related performance gaps, and determine the appropriate and priority interventions to address identified needs and gaps
• Lead collaborative efforts with stakeholders to define desired performance outcomes; Partner with cross-functional groups in the organization for the continuous analysis of training needs; provide feedback and coaching on issues related to learning programs and policies
• Remain current on learning and development related tools, techniques, strategies and practices in order to provide relevant, informed

TRAINING DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

• Establish short- and long-term strategies for sales and marketing competency & capability development
• Design and develop sales and marketing training programs aligned to the business thrusts and objectives
• Act as a liaison between the Learning Support Services function (eg MyLearning) and stakeholders to ensure alignment with learning needs; Ensure learning solutions created meet the requirements of the client
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure efficient preparation and implementation of training programs
• Design evaluation processes and measurement tools to assure achievement of learning and performance objectives

  

TRAINING DELIVERY & EVALUATION

• Deliver training and facilitate/or support local SMEs providing training
• Apply, teach, and coach the theories and practices of selling, sales management, and product management to develop skills, knowledge, and performance of the business units
• Utilize adult learning principles to ensure effective learning
• Identify and train internal resources in the organization to conduct training programs (Train-the-Trainor)
• Generate evaluation report to measure effectiveness of the training program implemented
• Analyze findings & report timely feedback on learning effectiveness to the business and develop appropriate action steps
• Feedback with stakeholders, and monitor impact and cost effectiveness of learning solutions; suggest improvements to further enhance learning program effectiveness and sustainability

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related fields.
• 3-5 years management experience in learning and development space / marketing and engagement with salesforce and facilitation with leadership experience.
• Independent mindset and a strong interpersonal skill to engage with high level of stakeholders.
• Strategic and executional skill sets are required.
• Knowledgeable in business acumen to interpret the business needs and convert into solutions.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong facilitation skill.
