The Opportunity

Fyfe is strengthening how digital technologies are applied across power and energy projects, assets and operations. We're looking for a Digital Engineering Lead who can connect strategic thinking with practical delivery and help shape what comes next.

In this role, you'll lead the design, integration and adoption of digital engineering solutions, including BIM, digital twins, advanced analytics, automation and asset data platforms. Your work will help improve asset performance, reliability, safety and lifecycle outcomes.

This is a technical leadership role requiring strong people management. You'll set digital engineering standards, lead multidisciplinary teams and work with internal teams, clients and delivery partners to embed data-driven practices.

The Impact You'll Have

• Lead the production of drawings, models and digital engineering deliverables for transmission and distribution substations and high-voltage infrastructure.

• Shape and deliver digital engineering strategy across generation, transmission and distribution assets.

• Govern digital engineering standards, architecture and quality frameworks, ensuring outputs meet client requirements and document management standards.

• Drive the implementation of BIM, digital twins, SCADA integrations and asset data systems across multidisciplinary projects.

• Build high-performing teams, develop future capability and champion collaborative, accountable and innovative ways of working.

• Strengthen relationships with clients and internal stakeholders while improving how digital delivery is planned, resourced and integrated into project execution.

What You'll Bring

You'll combine deep digital delivery experience in the energy sector with the leadership skills to turn a digital engineering vision into practical outcomes.

• More than 10 years' experience in design, drafting, 3D modelling and BIM for high-voltage infrastructure, including transmission and distribution substations, industrial facilities, renewable energy generation and/or energy storage.

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.

• Experience managing digital delivery across multiple disciplines, including electrical, civil, structural and mechanical services.

• Advanced knowledge and use of AutoCAD, MicroStation and Revit, together with experience using BIM and digital twin platforms.

• Knowledge of international, Australian and network service provider design standards.

• Demonstrated leadership capability, including building and developing high-performing teams and leading people through digital transformation.

• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage clients, stakeholders and technical teams effectively.
