Position Summary:

We are seeking a Lead AI Engineer to drive our enterprise AI strategy and build scalable, secure, and governed AI platforms with a strong focus on document indexing, search, and intelligent retrieval, supported by robust MLOps practices. You will play a key role in shaping AI architecture, standards, and adoption across teams.

What will your job entail?

Responsibilities

• Define AI architecture, design standards, and governance models

• Lead enterprise‑scale AI initiatives and agent platforms

• Evaluate and select AI technologies, frameworks, and vendors

• Ensure Responsible AI, security, and compliance across solutions

• Partner with leadership to align AI initiatives with business goals

• Provide technical leadership and direction across multiple teams

• Lead the architecture and implementation of document intelligence and indexing solutions (OCR, NLP, embeddings, vector search)

• Design AI solutions for document ingestion, classification, extraction, summarization, and semantic search

• Define and enforce MLOps standards, pipelines, and best practices across teams

 

Required Skills

• Solid foundation in NLP, information retrieval, and document processing

• Define and enforce MLOps standards, pipelines, and best practices across teams

• Deep expertise in AI/ML and applied LLM systems

• Proven experience designing large‑scale AI platforms

• Experience with OCR and document parsing frameworks

• Knowledge of document indexing, chunking strategies, and metadata design

• Experience with search technologies and vector databases (e.g., Azure AI Search, OpenSearch)

• Strong experience with MLOps tools and practices (MLflow, Azure ML, Kubeflow, etc.)

• CI/CD for ML using Git‑based pipelines
