Electrical Engineer - Energy Storage & EV Infrastructure

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Electrical Engineer - Energy Storage & EV Infrastructure. The position will be based at our facility in Moon Township, PA. The position is eligible for a hybrid set up (3 days in office, 2 days remote).

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

## What you’ll do:

Eaton's Energy Transition business is accelerating the shift toward a more sustainable, resilient, and electrified future. We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the development, validation, integration, and deployment of advanced energy storage and EV infrastructure solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies that enable grid modernization, renewable integration, electric vehicle adoption, and energy resilience while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, product management, manufacturing, and field services.

• Lead design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of BESS, EV charging, and electrification systems.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics, drawings, specifications, and system documentation.
• Support system commissioning, validation, and compliance testing to applicable industry standards.
• Integrate and validate battery, controls, EMS, and communication systems.
• Provide technical support for customer, field, manufacturing, and laboratory issues.
• Collaborate across hardware, software, controls, quality, and product engineering teams.
• Develop engineering reports, test procedures, commissioning guides, manuals, and work instructions.
• Support product certification, design reviews, safety assessments, and risk mitigation activities.
• Drive improvements in safety, reliability, quality, and system performance.
• Support customer deployments and field commissioning & service.

## Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in electrical engineering, power systems, energy storage, EV charging, power electronics, or industrial applications.
• Minimum 1 year Experience creating and interpreting electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control architectures.
• Minimum 1 year Experience troubleshooting electrical and controls systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 of experience supporting Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), renewable energy systems, EV charging infrastructure, microgrids, utility power systems, or power electronics.
• Working knowledge of standards including UL 9540, UL 9540A, UL 1973, UL 1741, IEEE 1547, and NFPA 70E.
• Experience designing to the National Electrical Code (NEC) is preferred.
• Experience with communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU, CAN Bus, and EtherNet/IP.
• Experience using laboratory equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, data acquisition systems, power analyzers, CAN analyzers, and insulation resistance testers (Megger equipment).
